Sephora VIB Sale Haul!

Hi everyone,

Hope everyone's been doing well. From November 7th until November 11th, 2013, Sephora is having their VIB sale, with both VIB and VIB Rouge members receiving 20% off their entire purchase both in-store and online. So Thursday morning, my mom and I went to our local Sephora store and here are my purchases.

Josie Maran 100 Percent Pure Argan Oil
Boscia Konjac Cleansing Sponge
L'Occitane Hand Cream in the Pivoine Flora scent
Clinique 7 Day Scrub Cream Rinse-Off Formula
Alterna Caviar Anti-Aging Replenishing Moisture Conditioner To Go
Hourglass Opaque Rouge Liquid in Icon (this was a miniature of the full-sized product)
Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15 in Passion
Julep Freedom Polymer Top Coat - a 100 point perk
Chloe Eau de Parfum - free sample
Vera Wang Princess Eau de Parfum - free sample
Sephora VIB Tote - free

I was debating whether to pick up an eyeshadow palette from either Dior, Urban Decay or Lorac but decided to wait until the April 15% off sale. Do let me know what you picked up during this sale in the comments below. For those who didn't have a chance to place an order or visit a store as yet, you still have a few hours to pick up items on your wish-list as the sale continues on, until 11:59 p.m. PST tonight.

Thanks for reading!

Wednesday Wishes

Hi everyone,

Hope you're having a great Wednesday so far. I'm excited to resume this series because there have been so many exciting new product releases and a tonne of products I've been waiting to get my hands on. Definitely do share your beauty or non-beauty wishes in the comments below!

1) Bumble and bumble's Texture hair undressing creme - It's described to give, " that elusive, undone-yet-done quality, with a hint of grit, hold and a tousled, shine-free finish." Not only did that sound like my ideal style but this video really sold me on the idea. That man is honestly a wizard.

2) Too Faced La Creme - For the upcoming fall/winter season, I want to try changing up my look by wearing darker, vampy lip colors. I knew I wanted to venture into deeper plums and burgundy shades, and that's how the Divine Wine shade caught my eye. I've read great reviews about this product line, and I really do appreciate the fact that there is such a wide range of colors in very sophisticated tones. Sweet Maple seems to be a my-lips-but-better shade and I think it'll pair really well with a more dramatic eye look.

3) Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor Cheek Gelee - I had seen this on the Sephora website around early to mid-July and then it was available at my local Sephora about a month ago. When I tried it out on the store, the texture reminded me of jello (and that in itself made me fall in love with the product), and the colors are sheer, helping you achieve that true watercolor effect. The shades I think will work best on my skin tone are Pink Escape, Getaway Red and Berry Bliss. I can picture wearing these very sheerly along the cheekbones and applied onto the lips like a stain, with a bit of black eyeliner smudged along the upper lashline finished with a minimal amount of mascara if any.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

NARS Velvet Gloss Lip Pencil in Baroque Review

Hi everyone,

I'm back! I know it's been a very long time since my last post, but I've just been caught up with school, work etc. Since I completed my program 3 weeks ago, I'm planning to resume my blogging adventures. Do keep an eye out for a number of reviews coming up in the next few weeks!

We've had quite a dip in temperature here in Toronto, so I thought I would get back into the swing of things by reviewing a very fall-appropriate lip color by a brand, that I haven't discussed previously on the blog.
